As I am sure you know, my aspiration (besides becoming a psychologist) is to be a well-known author.
Recently, my mother has published her very first children's book, and had her very first book-signing.
This was, and still remains to be, very exciting for me, because it was the first signing I had ever been to, and the whole experience was new to me. Ever since watching my mother's face light up as more and more people walked up to her asking for her autograph, bought her books, and complimented her on the work she put into her story; I have become that much more dedicated and inspired to publish the trilogy that I have written and planned for six years.
For a while, I was scared to let my words leave my hands, because I was afraid that people would not understand my story; that it would be too complex or even the exact opposite; that people would find it to be too different. I was also afraid that people would see my idea and laugh, tell me it was stupid, or perhaps, even burn my book.
But now I have come to find that it does not matter to me if people love it or hate it. I surely cannot be the only person in the world who will see my points of view or even agree with them. So what if I don't have every person on the face of the planet as a reader? Someone will like my work enough to read it. There are billions of people on this planet, and if I can get five of those people to read my published work (and like it), I will feel accomplished.
What I have learned from this experience is that the whole publishing process remains to be the most exciting accomplishment I yearn for. If I could get people to read a mere three-hundred pages of my ideas, I will know that I have made great use of my life. Multiply that by three books, and my life will be set.
I shall end this very long rant with the two words that keep me going every day and remind me that every day is a step closer to my achievement: carpe diem.

Angela's Sunflower by Azi Sabi Kaider
My mother's book has been published and is now available through Amazon and AuthorHouse, and soon, her website. I am so proud of her.
I will not be biased and brag about how awesome I think it is, so I will let you determine that for yourselves.
"Angela's Sunflower is a success story about a true event in the life of a young girl who cultivated an amazing sunflower from an otherwise ill-destined seed, all due to her persistence and confidence in the seed's potential."
